Low Voltage Lighting Basics: Lighting Transformers

The primary function of a Low Voltage Lighting transformer is to: Step down (transform) the incoming power supply voltage (usually 120V/230V) to a more acceptable voltage range for modern LED fixtures (11-15 Volts)Program when the light fixtures turn on or off to illuminate the landscape, which is achieved through a timer, photocell, or astronomical timing.  This course will discuss several options to consider when selecting a Low Voltage Lighting Transformer.
